KAVAL Stainless Steel Hood Channel Mobile Antenna Mount for Chevy/GMC pickups makes mounting two-way radio and scanner antennas a breeze. The KAVAL antenna mount will support CB, Amateur radio, and scanner antennas up to 5 feet tall.

The KAVAL hood mount was designed to fit Chevy/GMC trucks in 2002. The KAVAL will work with 2002-2007 Chevy Silverado and 2002-2007 Chevy Avalanche, Suburban, 1500, 2500, and Tahoe SUVs. The KAVAL is a perfect CB antenna mount for a clean, factory looking install.

Antenna

The KAVAL is a sturdy mount that can hold up to 5 foot antennas safely. For 4 and 5 foot antennas we recommend attaching the mount with multiple bolts or screws for additional support. The KAVAL mount accepts 3/8 x 24 threaded CB antennas. A CB antenna spring is recommended for use with this mount.

Coax

A CB coax with lug connectors (hoop connectors) is recommended for the KAVAL CB antenna mount. For an even easier install we recommend using Firestik CB antenna coax.

Installation Notes

For 2002-2007 Silverado:

Open the hood

Look near the driver's side hinge for the hood

The bracket next to hinge with an oval hole (which is about 3/4 inch long) is where the bolt goes in
The lip on top of the mount faces the passenger side
